Indoor and outdoor are different products

Indoor banners — trade show booths, lobbies, church halls, gym walls — use a lighter material and a simpler finish. From $75.

Outdoor banners get hemmed on all four sides and grommeted at intervals, because the failure point on a cheap banner is always the edge. Wind gets into an unhemmed hem, works it loose, and the banner tears itself off its own grommets in a season. From $100.

Mesh, and why it matters here

This is the one most people don't know to ask for. Mesh banner material is perforated so wind passes through it instead of pushing against it. On a fence, a rooftop, a construction barrier or any open outdoor site, a solid vinyl banner acts as a sail — it either tears at the grommets or takes the fence with it.

Colorado wind is not a theoretical problem. If your banner is going anywhere exposed, mesh is the correct material and it's barely more expensive. From $105.

Outdoor events, specifically

Anything at an outdoor venue is a different job from anything indoors, and it's worth being blunt about it. Sun fades an indoor-spec banner in a season. Wind destroys an unhemmed one in an afternoon. A banner built for a hotel ballroom and hung at a festival is a banner you'll be replacing.

Tell us the venue and whether it's covered, and we'll spec it to survive rather than to look good in the proof.

Sizes and finishing

We print up to 64 inches wide in a single piece, in any length. Wider than that we weld panels together, so a 10 or 20-foot banner is entirely normal.

Grommets are standard. Pole pockets sewn top and bottom for banners hanging from a rod or between posts, reinforced corners for high-wind sites, and rope hems where you're tying off rather than hooking on — all available, just say what you're hanging it from.

Artwork

Vector artwork or a high-resolution file. Banners get read from a distance, so less text and bigger type beats a paragraph nobody slows down for. If all you have is a logo pulled off a website, we'll tell you before printing whether it'll hold up at size.
